We value teaching both skill development to campers that could unleash a new passion of learning, and we love inviting kids into uniquely fun experiences. This summer, we are changing the way we go about our skills program.
Campers spend a significant part of their morning taking part in an activity group based around a skill that interests them. They get to select and choose this prior to arriving at camp. They will be placed into two different skills during the course of their camp week alternating each day.
Our 2018 Skills List will be unleashed this Spring once we’ve hired our summer staff and know what creative talent we have on board. Of course we will continue to offer some of our classic camper favorites including:
Waterski, wakeboard, and knee board with the help of an instructor. Kayak, canoe, and paddle board for a slower pace. If you are already experienced, come show us what you got! If you just want to go for a ride we will take you tubing. But don’t get too relaxed as a game of Mario cart canoeing could break out at any time.
Climb our 30 foot climbing wall. Start on a beginner wall and pretty soon you will be conquering overhangs and challenging hand holds. No experience required, just come and climb.
Shoot things a mile into the air and learn easy science experiments. Chances are good something will explode! Learn about chemical reactions, and the science behind creation.
Paint a masterpiece, craft something crafty, throw some pottery clay in the kiln, or snap a few photos. The possibilities are endless for the creative at heart.
Do not worry, if your favorite skill from the past is not on the list it doesn’t mean it’s gone. We’ll decide our skills based on camper feedback favorites as well as the specialty skill set of our staff. Stay tuned for the 2018 Skills to be released in the Spring!
